Forse ho trovato qualcosa che ti può aiutare...
"I did find the browse.conf and find the setting odd, and changed it. I was also adviced (on #kubuntu) to make cupsys a member of the shadow group. Yet i wasn't allowed to add a printer until after I set a root password."
