effettivamente in x-window-manager mi riporta

	There is only 1 program which provides x-session-manager
	(/usr/bin/gnome-session). Nothing to configure.

a questo punto sono i parametri di gnome-session, provo a fare un
confronto con quelli di un utente vergine...
