Boicottaggio della S.I.A.E. (prendete il testo che più si confà ai
destinatari e spammate, miei prodi :-) )

Ai mass media nazionali:
Il Partito Pirata Italiano si associa alle iniziative di SCIOPERO
degli acquisti indetto negli U.S.A. da Gizmodo nei confronti della
RIAA ed invita pertanto ad astenersi dagli acquisti di brani musicali
o filmati video protetti dalla SIAE per tutto il mese di Marzo.
Le iniziative della SIAE per lo sfruttamento della cultura a beneficio
degli editori piuttosto che degli autori devono essere ridimensionate.
A sostegno di una sensibilizzazione politica sul problema, l'unico
modo di farsi valere, come fruitori, è di toccare i detentori dei
diritti, che sono ormai considerati dinastici, nel portafoglio. Per il
mese di Marzo asteniamoci quindi dall'acquisto di qualsiasi brano
audio/video protetto dalla SIAE.

Ricordiamo inoltre che Grazia Deledda e Luigi Pirandello sono ora
liberi dalle royalty e quindi invitiamo a non versare alcun balzello
alla SIAE per la rappresentazione teatrale delle opere di tali autori
che sono finalmente patrimonio comune di tutta l'umanità.

Alle Associazioni di consumatori chiediamo di aderire all'iniziativa
affinché si possa finalmente dibattere su una più equa ripartizione
dei diritti e dei doveri di chi specula sulla cultura e di chi alla
cultura ha diritto.

We are the members of the Partito Pirata, an Italian Association
born as the italian derivation of the Swedish Pirat Partiet, in
order to defend consumers rights against the pression of copyrigth
and the enforcement of Digital Rights Management and Trusted Computing.
Majors of the entertainment plays the ruler role about the digital
content they produce/distribuite, and often the real author of the
work is not adequately recompensed
The introduction of DRM are a further limit to consumer rights.
Consumers more and more are considered as items to use for making
money only: they have simply to give money with less and less rights
on the acquired object. And, after all, how can you be sure that DRM
is respecting laws? In example, every country has specific laws
about copyrigth (different duration, managing, ...). Does DRM
consider such differences? How could it do that?
Producers are saying that DRM are for (their) security because the
don't trust consumers. They think that consumers wants to copy
illegally their contents. But, if they do not trust us, why shall we
trust them?
So, some times ago we were thinking about a strike on buying digital
content items in order to show to distributors that they need
consumers, and so they should have respect of them. Today we have
known about your intention in doing that strike, so we want to
externate to you our agreement and we wish this strike will have a
big impact on the digital contents market.
The Partito Pirata Italiano agree with your strike on buying digital
content items and invites consumers to abstein form buying
audio/video contents protected by SIAE for the whole month of March
2007.
We really hope that producers/distributors/editors will understand.
