[MontelLUG] Password cifrate su Thunderbird 3.1

  Su Thunderbird 3.1 (ma forse anche le versioni precedenti) le password 
vengono normalmente trasferite in chiaro anche se il server supporta 
l'autenticazione cifrata. Per consentire l'autenticazione cifrata 
procedere in questo modo:

    * cliccate su Strumenti > Impostazioni Account
    * selezionare "Impostazioni server"
    * impostare "password cifrata" su "Metodo di autenticazione"

Questo vale soprattutto se non utilizziamo canali protetti da SSL o 
simili. In questo modo eventuali sniffer devono "sudarsi" la 
ricostruzione della password se vogliono accedere alle nostre caselle email.
Questo discorso vale ovviamente anche per i client email diversi da 
TB... se possibile trasferite sempre le password in modo cifrato!
