Per chi vuole un altro riassunto del discorso di Shuttleworth,

La mia citazione preferita è "There is going to be a crowd that is
just too cool to use something that looks really slick and there is
nothing we can do for them" che tradotto approssimativamente è "C'è
una folla di gente che si sente semplicemente troppo figa per poter
usare qualcosa dall'aspetto veramente elegante e non c'è nulla che
possiamo fare per loro".
Ottimo modo di rispondere alle critiche della comunità che ti ha
portato dove sei ora... sputandogli in faccia.

L'unica cosa positiva è che finalmente il nonsense di Unity è spiegato
fino in fondo: "It's increasingly obvious that global users don't just
use desktops," Shuttleworth said. "We need to look forward and need to
target other devices where the next 2 billion humans will be. The
future doesn't just belong to the desktop, it belongs to an array of
smart screens."
(dato che ho iniziato a tradurre, continuo: "È sempre più ovvio che
gli utenti nel mondo non usano più i (pc) desktop. Dobbiamo guardare
avanti e mirare ad altri device, che saranno utilizzati dai prossimi 2
miliardi di esseri umani. Il futuro non appartiene al PC desktop, ma
ad una serie di smart screen".
Cioè, cosa siete, cavernicoli, che usate ancora Linux su un PC? E
osate anche lamentarvi?

Ah, chiaramente può anche avere ragione finché vuole, non significa
che sia un comportamento corretto per una distro/azienda ;)
